BETHESDA, MD – Bethesda residents will celebrate the opening of a fully accessible playground for
children of all abilities with a dedication ceremony at Norwood Local Park on Saturday, June 25
beginning at 4 p.m.
The playground is the result of a public-private partnership among: the Maryland-National Capital Park
and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC); the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rotary Club; the Montgomery
Parks Foundation; and the Friends of Norwood Park.
The celebration will include clowns, a magician and live music by “The Beat Hotel” and “The
Oxymorons.” Pizza and beverages will be available for sale, with part of the proceeds going to the
Friends of Norwood Park.
