I particularly enjoyed the comment from our “wellderly” resident who wants to know more about demographics, community service potential and planning initiatives taking retirees and others “of a certain age” into account. Since I am among those who, in my children’s words, “have entered the fourth quartile of my century,” I can really relate to his question.

Growth Policy Lecture Series

Welcome bloggers, Thanks for all of your comments. I'm glad to see my new blog is getting busy.

Thanks to several who wrote about the Growth Policy Lecture Series.  It has been so successful—both in drawing a good audience of planning groupies and providing us with some great ideas and examples we can use to improve our master plans and regulatory practices at the commission—that we are going to continue it through next year, on a monthly basis.  We commissioners would especially value comments from the blogoshere about the ideas from the lectures you thought we should adapt to Montgomery County. We would also welcome suggestions for speakers.
